Finding Your VPN Username and Password
Introduction
VPN Safe has two different logins. Mixing them up is the usual reason the Windows or Android app says login failed.
- Client Area login — your email + the password you used to register at secure.vpnsafe.net. Used only on the website.
- VPN username and password — created when the product is provisioned. Looks like
acc943407oracc465234913. Used in the apps, OpenVPN Connect, and the browser proxy extension.
Where to find them
- Log into the Client Area with your email.
- Services > My Services > your VPN product.
- On Your VPN Account Details, the left column has:
- Username — readonly field with a Copy button.
- Password — current VPN password, also with Copy. The note under it says you can change it below.
The welcome email Your VPN Login Details also has:
Username: (service username) Password: (service password)
Use those values in the VPN Safe Windows app, Android app, Android TV / Firestick app, OpenVPN Connect, and the Chrome/Edge/Brave proxy extension (the extension field is labelled Username or Email but it accepts the VPN username).
Do not type your Client Area email into the Windows app unless that email was also set as the VPN username (it is not, on current products).
This article is also in the client area knowledge base.
